| When you buy a sweater not exactly your size, you can still wear it. A pair of shoes needs to fit perfectly, not by approximation. When your feet hurt, your general balance will be affected. And more often than you think. A foot too tight in a shoe can generate circulatory problems and provoke "booboos" which your pedicure will have to take care of ; it can also create back pain and inbalanced posture. |
Your feet carry the body weight during long hours every day. For a good support, this weight must be correctly distributed. The foot protection (the shoe) must wrap around the foot without tightening it. For a best fit, the foot must not touch the end of the shoe. The foot needs at least 0.5 cm for its course race, since it will advance to the front of the shoe and the toes cannot touch the end of the shoe. |
When you buy shoes, you should feel no pressure, appreciate the support from the heel, but feel no contact point with the big toe. You do not need to exercize a pair of new shoes. La Botte Chantilly uses the Brannock device in order to measure the foot and to determine which size will fit best. At La Botte Chantilly, we keep a stock for women with sizes from 34 to 42 (for men with the sizes 38 to 48), with some half sizes and different widths for most. |
